Yan Aslanyan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Afanasiy Markov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Zahar Efimov struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Afanasiy Markov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Madrid CF. Vitaliy Sharov might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vladimir Zhigalin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vitaliy Sharov ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of ★★★ Çheℜℜγ Poppeℜs ★★★ booed when Real Madrid CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afanasiy Chepelevskiy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vitaliy Sharov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yan Aslanyan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Afanasiy Markov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32ndth minute of the game Nikolay Zagladin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real Madrid CF's Vladimir Zhigalin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Real Madrid CF's Vladimir Zhigalin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikolay Zagladin in the 33rd minute of play. When Artem Egorov fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Madrid CF's protests and gave Artem Egorov a yellow card for diving instead. 36 minutes into the game, Afanasiy Chepelevskiy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Madrid CF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ★★★ Çheℜℜγ Poppeℜs ★★★ the free kick. Afanasiy Chepelevskiy kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Vladimir Zhigalin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vitaliy Sharov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Zahar Efimov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

After some careless play in the ★★★ Çheℜℜγ Poppeℜs ★★★ defense, Zahar Efimov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Afanasiy Markov. The ★★★ Çheℜℜγ Poppeℜs ★★★ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Afanasiy Markov should have stopped the shot. After 95 minutes Real Madrid CF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Danila Adrianov who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on ★★★ Çheℜℜγ Poppeℜs ★★★'s corner Egor Timofeev fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vladimir Zhigalin quite easily take care of the ball. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Egor Timofeev put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Vladimir Zhigalin. There was no doubt that Real Madrid CF were the better team. Real Madrid CF's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
