Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Igor Lobanov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimmy Nicholls having to interfere. Igor Lobanov in the 7thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jimmy Nicholls, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Prokl Kuzmin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bob Warne in the 9th minute of play. The supporters of Poulton-Le-Fylde booed when East Dereham City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vladislav Averchenko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bob Warne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Prokl Kuzmin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th match minute, East Dereham City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timofey Ryabushkin to maneuver through the defense. Prokl Kuzmin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rory Astridge in the 15th minute of play. Prokl Kuzmin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rory Astridge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute, Petr Odintsov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Igor Lobanov to make the kick off. Igor Lobanov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. East Dereham City's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Rory Astridge 56 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-1. A hard shot 59 in the game by Bob Warne from a close distance when the talented Prokl Kuzmin managed to make a qualified save. East Dereham City's players were relieved. A hard shot by Philip Kirkpatrick from long distance, 62 minutes into the match, got Prokl Kuzmin's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 68 minutes of play, East Dereham City's Igor Lobanov made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jimmy Nicholls was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 73rd minute, Anatoliy Nemolyaev left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The East Dereham City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After having played for 76 minutes, Pahom Grishin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. East Dereham City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pahom Grishin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. East Dereham City's Prokl Kuzmin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save East Dereham City from getting a goal against them. In the 86th minute, East Dereham City's Timofey Ryabushkin seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Timofey Ryabushkin the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of East Dereham City protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Timofey Ryabushkin had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 94th minute Poulton-Le-Fylde were awarded a corner. Dominic Lineker went to the cornerflag to take it. East Dereham City's Prokl Kuzmin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save East Dereham City from getting a goal against them. When the referee ended the match the East Dereham City players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
