The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Caruhasan Verma succeeded in the game's 13th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Kumar Sohota kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Micklefield's zone, Devasoma Sahota stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ashe Rathod came out of the goal and Devasoma Sahota tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 27th minute, Caruhasan Verma got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 28 minutes, Dimbha Desai managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leigh on Sea's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dimbha Desai was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dimbha Desai in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ashe Rathod saved Micklefield from getting behind. Dimbha Desai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Ashe Rathod tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vasu Chubalepzuk was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 43rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Devasoma Sahota might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ashe Rathod. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Devasoma Sahota ran back to his position shaking his head. If Devasoma Sahota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Devasoma Sahota to make the kick off. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Paresh Banwait made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caruhasan Verma in the 97th minute of play.
