Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Prem Kattaura could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Madhav Ghai made a huge save. In the 10th minute, Ashutosh Bangopadhyay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 14thth minute of the game Jaguri Thapa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Evergreen United's Buddhapala Bhosale was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Buddhapala Bhosale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cudakarana Sambhi in the 20th minute of play. Buddhapala Bhosale stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jaguri Thapa's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Ashutosh Bangopadhyay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Buddhapala Bhosale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jagatkarna Anand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Madhav Ghai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alakaprabha Gill got free with Madhav Ghai in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Debasis Khan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of On Target booed when Evergreen United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alakaprabha Gill didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cudakarana Sambhi struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Buddhapala Bhosale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for On Target. Buddhapala Bhosale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ashutosh Bangopadhyay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the game, On Target's Jaguri Thapa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Buddhapala Bhosale made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After some careless play in the Evergreen United defense, Ashutosh Bangopadhyay kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Buddhapala Bhosale. The Evergreen United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Buddhapala Bhosale should have stopped the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jaguri Thapa to make the kick off. Cudakarana Sambhi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cudakarana Sambhi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Buddhapala Bhosale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ashutosh Bangopadhyay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Buddhapala Bhosale having to interfere. Debasis Khan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Buddhapala Bhosale having to interfere. Jaguri Thapa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Buddhapala Bhosale came out and tried to block the shot, but Jaguri Thapa slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 65th minute. Buddhapala Bhosale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Debasis Khan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cudakarana Sambhi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Buddhapala Bhosale having to make a save. After 76 played minutes Evergreen United got a freekick which was hit by Devasativa Mallik. After a defensive mix-up in Evergreen United's zone, Debasis Khan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Buddhapala Bhosale came out of the goal and Debasis Khan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 81 minutes, Dharmistha Mohan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. On Target's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dharmistha Mohan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jaguri Thapa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute Debasis Khan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Buddhapala Bhosale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Buddhapala Bhosale managed to avoid a goal in the 84thth minute, when On Target's Jaguri Thapa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Buddhapala Bhosale made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cudakarana Sambhi in the 86th minute. Buddhapala Bhosale didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 88th minute, which inside left pole to 1-6. When Jaguri Thapa came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the On Target fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaguri Thapa couldn't finish the play. Prem Kattaura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. On Target played a much better game than Evergreen United and deserved their victory. The Evergreen United players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
