Kanvar Dutta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dinesh Dosanjh was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 16th minute. Souvik super team's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 21 minutes into the game, Manu Chhugani cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Suraj Marak was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dinesh Dosanjh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jagadbala Aulakh having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Kanvar Dutta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Suraj Marak was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Suraj Marak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kanvar Dutta, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Manu Chhugani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Suraj Marak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Poster FC's Kanvar Dutta got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manu Chhugani might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Suraj Marak. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manu Chhugani ran back to his position shaking his head. Suraj Marak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kanvar Dutta, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Souvik super team's zone, Kanvar Dutta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Suraj Marak came out of the goal and Kanvar Dutta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Basanta Sandhu hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. 56 minutes into the game, Dinesh Dosanjh cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Jagadbala Aulakh was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Souvik super team booed when Poster FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harpartap Tipnis didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dinesh Dosanjh in the 60th minute of play forced Poster FC's goalkeeper Jagadbala Aulakh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Bahurai Sodhi fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Souvik super team's protests and gave Bahurai Sodhi a yellow card for diving instead. Poster FC were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after Souvik super team's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gopinath Vaidya took the corner. The corner led Poster FC's Basanta Sandhu to fire away a dangerous shot which Suraj Marak despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jagadbala Aulakh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dinesh Dosanjh, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After a rather tough play, Souvik super team's Bahurai Sodhi got a free kick in the 73rd minute. 74 minutes into the match, Poster FC's Gopinath Vaidya broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Vaani Malhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
