Dhyanayogi Shrivastav was a little too slow when Kartikeya Vadhwa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 3rd minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nailsea's goalkeeper Dhyanayogi Shrivastav, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jivadeva Chakma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baladitya Sanghera having to interfere. In the 16th minute Apiguna Bhardwaj shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dhyanayogi Shrivastav saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kartikeya Vadhwa got free with Dhyanayogi Shrivastav in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 20th minute, Jivadeva Chakma ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Baladitya Sanghera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Kamaraja Mitra kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Nailsea's zone, Apiguna Bhardwaj stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dhyanayogi Shrivastav came out of the goal and Apiguna Bhardwaj tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kartikeya Vadhwa came free with the goalkeeper in the 26th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dhyanayogi Shrivastav could save by the left post. 32 minutes into the match, Stevenage AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jivadeva Chakma came free, but Baladitya Sanghera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kartikeya Vadhwa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the match, Stevenage AFC's Apiguna Bhardwaj sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dhyanayogi Shrivastav narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kartikeya Vadhwa got free with Dhyanayogi Shrivastav in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Apiguna Bhardwaj might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dhyanayogi Shrivastav. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Apiguna Bhardwaj ran back to his position shaking his head. Dhyanayogi Shrivastav stood somewhat misplaced when Apiguna Bhardwaj came free in front of goal and shot 2-1 to the left of him in the 45 minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jivadeva Chakma stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute Kartikeya Vadhwa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dhyanayogi Shrivastav saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nailsea's Dhyanayogi Shrivastav played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apiguna Bhardwaj in the 62nd minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Nailsea's goal looked a bit too open when Apiguna Bhardwaj came free, but Dhyanayogi Shrivastav reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abhidi Nagra kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Akrsnakarman Chandha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jivadeva Chakma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Baladitya Sanghera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Akrsnakarman Chandha who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Baladitya Sanghera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Baladitya Sanghera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jivadeva Chakma, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Aviratha Bains kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kartikeya Vadhwa in the 80th minute of play forced Nailsea's goalkeeper Dhyanayogi Shrivastav to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kartikeya Vadhwa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dhyanayogi Shrivastav made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kartikeya Vadhwa in the 85th minute of play. Akrsnakarman Chandha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baladitya Sanghera having to interfere. 90 minutes into the game, Aviratha Bains was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nailsea's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stevenage AFC the free kick. In the 90th minute, Aviratha Bains hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 91 played minutes, Stevenage AFC's Aroon Rao shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dhyanayogi Shrivastav came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Stevenage AFC reached it. During the 92nd minute of the match Aviratha Bains completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Aviratha Bains a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 93rd match minute, Nailsea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aviratha Bains to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute, Jivadeva Chakma hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dhyanayogi Shrivastav made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kartikeya Vadhwa in the 95th minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Nailsea's goal looked a bit too open when Apiguna Bhardwaj came free, but Dhyanayogi Shrivastav reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
