Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Venkatesha Bajaj took the kick off in the first half of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Bray Lake FC's goalkeeper Gramapala Deshmukh had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ajit Kamle. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Ajina Dosanjh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bray Lake FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ajina Dosanjh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bahupriya Pujari breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 13th minute Ajina Dosanjh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bahupriya Pujari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Venkatesha Bajaj fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bahupriya Pujari having to interfere. Bahupriya Pujari made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Venkatesha Bajaj in the 20th minute of play. Nitya Bhatia took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bahupriya Pujari. Ampthill United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Ajina Dosanjh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bahupriya Pujari didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Venkatesha Bajaj went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. If Pran Khangura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bray Lake FC's Gramapala Deshmukh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Balasubramaniam Lalli in the 42nd minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Balasubramaniam Lalli to make the kick off. If Venkatesha Bajaj had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Venkatesha Bajaj in the 55th minute of play forced Ampthill United's goalkeeper Bahupriya Pujari to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bahupriya Pujari had great luck who in the 57thth minute grab hold of the ball when Venkatesha Bajaj from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Ajit Kamle sped through Bray Lake FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gramapala Deshmukh. The supporters of Bray Lake FC booed when Ampthill United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gurjit Kooner didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ajina Dosanjh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bahupriya Pujari was a little too slow when Venkatesha Bajaj got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 70th minute. The score was now 2-2. Ajit Kamle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gramapala Deshmukh having to interfere. A collision led to Ampthill United getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Citravasu Bharadwaj hit a great ball. When Ajina Dosanjh got free in front of the goal in the 79th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Bahupriya Pujari was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Ajit Kamle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gramapala Deshmukh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ajit Kamle in the 96th minute of the match. Bray Lake FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
