Phoola Diyali received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Rajminder Sohal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Phoola Diyali fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rajminder Sohal having to interfere. If Jagraj Mallik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Phoola Diyali received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Rajminder Sohal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Crosby AFC's goalkeeper Hatisa Manjrekar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raghuvinderjit Mahalingappa got free with Hatisa Manjrekar in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hatisa Manjrekar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jasavira Choudhary in the 26th minute. Hatisa Manjrekar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jagraj Mallik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Barnard Castle's Jagraj Mallik got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jagraj Mallik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hatisa Manjrekar didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 41st minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jagraj Mallik to strike the kick off in the second half.
