The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Cleobury Mortimer FC's goalkeeper Asapurna Chadha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Narayanan Dass. With an all-out effort, Whaplode's Asapurna Chadha threw himself towards the right post 15 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Divyaprabhava Bhaura, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Whaplode's Candrabhasu Sangma got a free kick in the 16th minute. Javagal Sahota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uttam Bain in the 19th minute of play. Vasan Gupta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Javagal Sahota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vasan Gupta, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Ananda Sull received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Javagal Sahota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Whaplode's Candrabhasu Sangma got a free kick in the 27th minute. Whaplode's Javagal Sahota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasan Gupta in the 29th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Cleobury Mortimer FC's goalkeeper Asapurna Chadha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anilabha Vishwakarma. After some careless play in the Whaplode defense, Uttam Bain kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Javagal Sahota. The Whaplode fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Javagal Sahota should have stopped the shot. Anilabha Vishwakarma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vasan Gupta during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 47th minute, Vasan Gupta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Divyaprabhava Bhaura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anilabha Vishwakarma to strike the kick off in the second half. Asapurna Chadha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anilabha Vishwakarma's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Asapurna Chadha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Divyaprabhava Bhaura in the 55th minute of play. A collision led to Whaplode getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Anilabha Vishwakarma hit a great ball. In the 61st minute Anilabha Vishwakarma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Asapurna Chadha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Narayanan Dass scored 3-1 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Asapurna Chadha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Anilabha Vishwakarma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Divyaprabhava Bhaura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Asapurna Chadha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Asapurna Chadha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anilabha Vishwakarma in the 78th minute of the match. Whaplode's Divyaprabhava Bhaura got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Whaplode fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. When the referee ended the match the Whaplode players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
