Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Samanan Wongtongdee started the match with the kick off. After 5 played minutes Mae La Luang got a freekick which was hit by Ritthikorn Phenjan. Bunpathip Lumjung acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 6th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Amornthep Pangsaard. Sangob Borwongovitsakul charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sangob Borwongovitsakul the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Mae La Luang getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Sangob Borwongovitsakul hit a great ball. The supporters of Red Star FC booed when Mae La Luang was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samanan Wongtongdee didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pichet Chantra during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 12th minute, Pichet Chantra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kenneth Blackhams short, quick shot in the 13thth minute got Bunpathip Lumjung to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. During the 17th minute of the match Pichet Chantra completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Pichet Chantra a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Mae La Luang's Pichet Chantra got a free kick in the 18th minute. 21 minutes into the game, Red Star FC's Kenneth Blackham nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bunpathip Lumjung made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Ritthikorn Phenjan kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. If Kenneth Blackham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nathongchai Jittasatian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute Ritthikorn Phenjan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kang Bin Jun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Red Star FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nathongchai Jittasatian came free, but Kang Bin Jun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kenneth Blackham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bunpathip Lumjung having to interfere. Kang Bin Jun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nathongchai Jittasatian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanawat Wastanagoun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Kenneth Blackham made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Lukasz Sidor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nathongchai Jittasatian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Mae La Luang's zone, Thanawat Wastanagoun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bunpathip Lumjung came out of the goal and Thanawat Wastanagoun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 77 minutes into the game, Thanawat Wastanagoun cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Bunpathip Lumjung was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 83rd minute, Mae La Luang's Noppadech Sangsoon dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-1. Thanawat Wastanagoun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Bunpathip Lumjung tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Mae La Luang's goal looked a bit too open when Kenneth Blackham came free, but Bunpathip Lumjung reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Mae La Luang booed when Red Star FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thanawat Wastanagoun didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Red Star FC's Kang Bin Jun got control of the ball when Ritthikorn Phenjan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Many of Mae La Luang's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Mae La Luang may have spent more time on the ball, but Red Star FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
