Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Nguyễn Dong made the kick off which started today's match. Phan Duy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nguyễn Dong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 6 played minutes Dong Xoai got a freekick which was hit by Lê Hong Minh. 8 minutes into the game, one of Dong Xoai:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Thanh Hoa a penalty, 9 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Trần Hung, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Dong Xoai's Phan Duy. 1-0. Trần Hoangs short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Phan Duy to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Dong in the 21st minute of play forced Dong Xoai's goalkeeper Phan Duy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Dong Xoai's goalkeeper Phan Duy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Trần Phuc blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lê Cadeo having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Huỳnh Loc managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dong Xoai's supporters rose to their feet, but Huỳnh Loc was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lê Cadeo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Trần Hoang struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Phan Duy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Thanh Hoa. Trần Phuc scored 1-1 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lê Cadeo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Trần Hoang might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Phan Duy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Trần Hoang ran back to his position shaking his head. Trần Hoang recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dong Xoai's Phan Duy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trần Hoang in the 57th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Thanh Hoa's Trần Hung got a free kick in the 59th minute. When Dong Xoai's Trần Phuc in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Thanh Hoa's goalie prevented a goal. In the 69th minute, Huỳnh Loc fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 69 minutes into the game, Trần Phuc recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lê Cadeo. Trần Phuc showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Dong Xoai's Trần Phuc in the 77th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Lê Cadeo was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Thanh Hoa through an amazing save. After 79 played minutes Thanh Hoa got a freekick which was hit by Lê Dung. Lê Cadeo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Đặng Hung. Lê Cadeo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trần Phuc, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Lê Dung hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. With his leg Lê Cadeo managed to avoid a goal in the 89thth minute, when Dong Xoai's Huỳnh Loc fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 89 played minutes Thanh Hoa got a freekick which was hit by Trần Anh Hung. In the 91st minute, Trần Phuc got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Trần Hoang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phan Duy having to interfere. Nguyễn Dong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Thanh Hoa supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Dong Xoai's performance. The match ended with a win for Dong Xoai.
