Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Ca Mau's Phan Binh started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Nguyễn Hong Minh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Trịnh Thuyet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Hong Minh having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Phan Binh in the 12th minute of play forced truong tan's goalkeeper Nguyễn Hong Minh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute, Nguyễn Hong Minh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Ca Mau booed when truong tan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Minh-ha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nguyễn Hong Minh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phan Binh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute Nguyễn Hong Minh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trần Tinh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nguyễn Hong Minh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nguyễn Minh-ha kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. If Trịnh Thuyet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. With a little luck, truong tan's Nguyễn Hong Minh got control of the ball when Trịnh Thuyet tried to sneak it across the goal line.
The wind increased when Nguyễn Hong Minh made the kick off in the second half. Nguyễn Hong Minh came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Ca Mau's Phan Binh. But to his dismay, Phan Binh quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Tôn Ho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Trần Tinh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nguyễn Hong Minh struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Trần Tinh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for truong tan. In the 61st match minute, Ca Mau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trần Mai to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Ca Mau getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Trần Nam hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tôn Ho got free with Trần Tinh in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tôn Ho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trần Tinh having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Phan Binh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ca Mau's supporters rose to their feet, but Phan Binh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nguyễn Hong Minh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 70th minute, Trịnh Thuyet left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ca Mau fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Phan Binh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nguyễn Hong Minh stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Trịnh Thuyet's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. After 78 played minutes Ca Mau got a freekick which was hit by Hoàng Nam. When Nguyễn Hong Minh came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the truong tan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nguyễn Hong Minh couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Ca Mau's zone, Tôn Ho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trần Tinh came out of the goal and Tôn Ho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nguyễn Tran's late challenge caught a Ca Mau's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nguyễn Tran helped the player get up and apologised. In the 92nd minute, Phan Binh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. truong tan's Nguyễn Hong Minh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phan Binh in the 94th minute of play. Nguyễn Hoai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ca Mau fans cheered their team off the field, for while truong tan had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
