Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Nguyễn Anh Hung got the match started through his kick off. In the 5th minute, Phan Binh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 6 minutes into the match, Soc Trang's Phạm Hoai broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Nguyễn Thuy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Đặng Nghiêm-Minh read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Phan Tuan Hoang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Đặng Tho having to interfere. In the 13th minute, Nguyễn Anh Hung got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Nguyễn Minh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Nguyễn Anh Hung managed to get in a good position for a shot. Soc Trang's supporters rose to their feet, but Nguyễn Anh Hung was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Đặng Tho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nguyễn Thuy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd match minute, Soc Trang was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lý Nga to maneuver through the defense. Đặng Nghiêm-Minh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Minh in the 27th minute of the match. Nguyễn Thuy's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Đặng Nghiêm-Minh firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 32nd minute, Nguyễn Minh left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hai Phong fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Nguyễn Thuy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Đặng Nghiêm-Minh having to interfere. Đặng Tho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phan Tuan Hoang, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After 39 played minutes Hai Phong got a freekick which was hit by Phan Binh. When Nguyễn Thuy came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Hai Phong fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nguyễn Thuy couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
53 minutes into the match, Hai Phong's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Anh Hung came free, but Đặng Tho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Soc Trang's Lý Nga got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 59th minute of the match Hai Phong got a corner. Soc Trang's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Huỳnh Huy ran over to the corner to take the kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Soc Trang's Nguyễn Anh Hung slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Đặng Tho. That made the score 1-1 after 62 minutes of play. Đặng Nghiêm-Minh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nguyễn Thuy, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Đặng Nghiêm-Minh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Minh in the 71st minute of play. After 77 played minutes Soc Trang got a freekick which was hit by Hồ Ho. The supporters of Hai Phong booed when Soc Trang was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Phạm Hoai didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Nguyễn Minh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Phan Tuan Hoang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Đặng Tho having to interfere. A collision led to Soc Trang getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Nguyễn Anh Hung hit a great ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
