An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerard Paine in the 5th minute of play forced Mitamlanes FC's goalkeeper Hidayat Tian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Faiz Yi-Sheng was a little too slow when Dennis Sheene got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 7th minute. The score was now 1-0. Dennis Sheene sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Mitamlanes FC's Dennis Sheene in 14 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Faiz Yi-Sheng guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. In the 17th match minute, Mitamlanes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by George Baxter to maneuver through the defense. Hidayat Tian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zack Pieng in the 18th minute of the match. A hard shot 22 in the game by Dennis Sheene from a close distance when the talented Faiz Yi-Sheng managed to make a qualified save. Thamesmead FC's players were relieved. In the 23rd minute John Mathews shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hidayat Tian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hidayat Tian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rudy Choy, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Ong Chew in the 36th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Mitamlanes FC's Louis Hallam. Hidayat Tian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Hsi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gerard Paine to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Dennis Sheene put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Faiz Yi-Sheng. After 55 minutes, Dennis Sheene made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Thamesmead FC's Faiz Yi-Sheng tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 59th minute Cliff Holbrook shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faiz Yi-Sheng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rudy Choy hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 63rd match minute, Mitamlanes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Khai Yeo to maneuver through the defense. Thamesmead FC's Gerard Paine got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 69th match minute, Mitamlanes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Louis Hallam to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dennis Sheene in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Faiz Yi-Sheng saved Thamesmead FC from getting behind. Hidayat Tian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerard Paine, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. After 95 played minutes Thamesmead FC got a freekick which was hit by John Mathews. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Mitamlanes FC fully deserved thier win.
