Aziz Hsi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clive Nair fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerry Dryburgh having to interfere. A collision led to Dunchurch getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Jerry Hsin hit a great ball. Shukrie Politiek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Jerry Dryburgh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sajeev Au struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Fariz Chan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dunchurch. If Sajeev Au had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Dunchurch booed when İnter was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mark Seng didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sajeev Au hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After 31 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for İnter! The referee gave Dunchurch a penalty, 33 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Azli Vijiaratnam, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of İnter's Fariz Chan. 0-1. 42 minutes into the match, Dunchurch's goalkeeper Jerry Dryburgh had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clive Nair. In the 43rd minute, Clive Nair made a precise shot to the right of Jerry Dryburgh. Dunchurch's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After the first half Dunchurch were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sajeev Au was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Shah Kang got free with Fariz Chan in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 58th minute, Shukrie Politiek ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jerry Dryburgh was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. 65 minutes into the match, Dunchurch's goal looked a bit too open when Shukrie Politiek came free, but Jerry Dryburgh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th minute Sajeev Au shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fariz Chan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Sajeev Au had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the İnter defense, Shah Kang kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fariz Chan. The İnter fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fariz Chan should have stopped the shot.
