Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Steven Seng started the match with the kick off. When Bineesh Chee came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Halstead fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bineesh Chee couldn't finish the play. If Hafriz Yang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Asiz Tan fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ken FC's protests and gave Asiz Tan a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Ken FC's Asiz Tan got a free kick in the 13th minute. Steven Seng fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Khai Gopala Pillai having to interfere. After 19 minutes of play, Ken FC's Steven Seng made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Khai Gopala Pillai was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Famih Chuan during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Famih Chuan kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. 25 minutes into the game, one of Ken FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Daniel Siong didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bineesh Chee went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Hafriz Yang's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daniel Siong was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. In the 40th minute, Wong Dyce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 41 minutes into the match, Halstead's SK Devan broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Hafriz Yang recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Halstead were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bineesh Chee to make the kick off. Bineesh Chee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Siong having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sajeev Hui in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Khai Gopala Pillai saved Halstead from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steven Seng in the 66th minute of play forced Halstead's goalkeeper Khai Gopala Pillai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hafriz Yang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Daniel Siong tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Siong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bineesh Chee, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Steven Seng fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Khai Gopala Pillai having to interfere. The supporters of Ken FC booed when Halstead was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hidayat Seng didn't get a good kick on the ball. Khai Gopala Pillai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steven Seng, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sajeev Hui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Khai Gopala Pillai having to interfere. In the 85thth minute of the game Bineesh Chee who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ken FC's Daniel Siong was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hafriz Yang got free with Daniel Siong in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ken FC's Daniel Siong proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Ken FC from getting a goal against them. Halstead's Bineesh Chee got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
