The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dalton In Furness AFC's Mar Cavite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelio Gonzalez in the 7th minute of play. Guillermo Conlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mar Cavite having to interfere. Mar Cavite was out of position in the 10 minute of play, and Aurelio Gonzalez capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Aurelio Gonzalez really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Nardo Amurao sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Guillermo Conlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dalton In Furness AFC's Mar Cavite proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Dalton In Furness AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 27th minute, Aurelio Gonzalez fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Alvin Guanlao charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alvin Guanlao the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 28th match minute, Dalton In Furness AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvin Guanlao to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Dalton In Furness AFC defense, Aurelio Gonzalez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mar Cavite. The Dalton In Furness AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mar Cavite should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nardo Amurao to strike the kick off in the second half. Guillermo Conlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Mar Cavite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guillermo Conlu struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Mar Cavite didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for West Buckland United. After a defensive mix-up in Dalton In Furness AFC's zone, Guillermo Conlu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mar Cavite came out of the goal and Guillermo Conlu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 66 played minutes West Buckland United got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Conlu. 68 minutes into the match, Dalton In Furness AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Guillermo Conlu came free, but Mar Cavite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nardo Amurao charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nardo Amurao the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of West Buckland United booed when Dalton In Furness AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nardo Amurao didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th match minute, Dalton In Furness AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfred Baradi to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th minute, Szeke Magdadarao ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mar Cavite was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. A collision led to Dalton In Furness AFC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Alfred Baradi hit a great ball. In the 84th minute, Aurelio Gonzalez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The West Buckland United fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when West Buckland United's Guillermo Conlu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Guillermo Conlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 92 minutes into the match, West Buckland United's Aurelio Gonzalez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mar Cavite narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
