After 4 played minutes Gunungputer got a freekick which was hit by Heri Hans. 6 minutes in the game Sipiongot Sitorus did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Uum Yarman. After a defensive mix-up in Gunungputer's zone, Ichwan Waluyo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boy Budikusuma came out of the goal and Ichwan Waluyo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. PSS Tjitoedja were furious when Rexy Sembiring was red carded, 18 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Rexy Sembiring kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Fery Oktavianus received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kompos Febrian came out and tried to block the shot, but Fery Oktavianus slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 23rd minute. In the 26th minute of the match, Yahya Reza got a very nice opportunity to score, but Kompos Febrian was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Kompos Febrian was a little too slow when Fery Oktavianus got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 3-2. Kompos Febrian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fery Oktavianus in the 30th minute of play. Kompos Febrian made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Yahya Reza sent off a good shot on target.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fery Oktavianus to make the kick off. PSS Tjitoedja's Kompos Febrian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fery Oktavianus in the 52nd minute of play. Yahya Reza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Femi Subagdja during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Uum Barus fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gunungputer's protests and gave Uum Barus a yellow card for diving instead. Uum Barus hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute, Uum Barus left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gunungputer fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. Kompos Febrian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fery Oktavianus, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Andre Haryanto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Boy Budikusuma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gunungputer's Yahya Reza got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Femi Subagdja hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Uum Barus struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Kompos Febrian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gunungputer. Yahya Reza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kompos Febrian having to interfere. Kompos Febrian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uum Barus in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Taufik Ramadhonna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 83rd minute of the match Heri Hans sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kompos Febrian skillfully saved the ball. In the 84th minute Gunungputer were awarded a corner. Uum Barus went to the cornerflag to take it. Uum Barus made a great header on Gunungputer's corner, it was just that PSS Tjitoedja's Kompos Febrian managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 87th minute Yahya Reza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kompos Febrian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andre Haryanto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boy Budikusuma having to interfere. If Andre Haryanto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gunungputer's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
