PSP Gasings's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ferry Mulia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Bento Bangun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dede Muchtaji having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bento Bangun in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dede Muchtaji saved PSP Gasings from getting behind. When Wahyu Reza fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Selangor FC's protests and gave Wahyu Reza a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th minute, Ruslan Hans left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PSP Gasings fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Selangor FC's Bento Bangun got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Selangor FC's Wahyu Reza got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Donnie Sinulingga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ruslan Hans in the 47th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hastomo Pane was the one to do the kick off. PSP Gasings were furious when Putu Suprianto was red carded, 58 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The goalkeeper, Dede Muchtaji, was totally fooled by Selangor FC's Steve Sinuraya, who 60 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Selangor FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PSP Gasings the free kick. A collision led to Selangor FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Steve Sinuraya hit a great ball. Dewa Tarigan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
