Barry Trenoweth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bart Pincini in the 12th minute of the match. Bart Pincini blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Barry Trenoweth having to make a save. After having played for 17 minutes, Brian Munster managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Goodia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brian Munster was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bland's Barry Trenoweth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brian Munster in the 19th minute of play. The supporters of Goodia booed when Bland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edward Digiuseppe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bart Pincini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jarrett Fynn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Brian Munster sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bland's goalkeeper Barry Trenoweth, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Goodia's Bart Pincini in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bland's goalie prevented a goal. Barry Trenoweth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brian Munster, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

If Bart Pincini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jayden Nolan in the 55th minute of play forced Goodia's goalkeeper Rich Dowling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute, Jayden Nolan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rich Dowling was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Barry Trenoweth made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bart Pincini in the 60th minute. Barry Trenoweth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brian Munster, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Bland's Barry Trenoweth proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Bland from getting a goal against them. In the 69thth minute of the game Brian Munster who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bland's Barry Trenoweth was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Brian Munster might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Barry Trenoweth. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Brian Munster ran back to his position shaking his head. If Bart Pincini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bland's Jarrett Fynn got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bart Pincini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barry Trenoweth having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, Bland's goal looked a bit too open when Brian Munster came free, but Barry Trenoweth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Bart Pincini managed to get in a good position for a shot. Goodia's supporters rose to their feet, but Bart Pincini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Barry Trenoweth breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Brian Munster sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Bland support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
