Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Barry Powell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bungunya's supporters rose to their feet, but Barry Powell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Russel Renshaw breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Jones Lenard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Laurence Lewry's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Danton Marsland read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Duncan Orourke hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Laurence Lewry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Danton Marsland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Philip Morse took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Russel Renshaw. Nambour's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Jones Lenard had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Danton Marsland. Bungunya's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jones Lenard was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Jones Lenard's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Danton Marsland read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. After 31 played minutes Bungunya got a freekick which was hit by Douglas Wharton. In the 33rd minute Jones Lenard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danton Marsland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laurence Lewry might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Danton Marsland. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Laurence Lewry ran back to his position shaking his head. If Jones Lenard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Barry Powell made a kick off. In the 58th minute Bill Haydock suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. Douglas Wharton charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Douglas Wharton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Nambour booed when Bungunya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Douglas Wharton didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Laurence Lewry came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Nambour fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laurence Lewry couldn't finish the play. Russel Renshaw stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henry Slattery's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. 73 minutes into the game, Laurence Lewry cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Danton Marsland was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Douglas Wharton kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After having played for 79 minutes, Laurence Lewry managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nambour's supporters crossed their fingers, but Laurence Lewry was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Laurence Lewry scored 0-4 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Danton Marsland, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Laurence Lewry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danton Marsland having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Jared Pustak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Danton Marsland made an important save on a dangerous shot by Laurence Lewry in the 89th minute. Laurence Lewry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Danton Marsland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Iggy Bouer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jared Pustak kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. 96 minutes into the match, Nambour's Laurence Lewry sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Danton Marsland narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Laurence Lewry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nambour played a much better game than Bungunya and deserved their victory. The Bungunya players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
