The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Brent Mcjunkins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nathan Cochrane having to interfere. Chelsea's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kelvin Flesfader in the 73rd minute. Peter Limmer scored 1-1 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nathan Cochrane, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Peter Limmer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nathan Cochrane having to interfere. When Brent Mcjunkins came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Perth Kickers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brent Mcjunkins couldn't finish the play. The Perth Kickers players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Chelsea from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
