Payne Sibbold received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Richard Durbin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brooks Cawthorne might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rich Bunworth. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Brooks Cawthorne ran back to his position shaking his head. Everitt Mckinley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 29 played minutes Stanley got a freekick which was hit by Anthony Didlick. Brooks Cawthorne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rich Bunworth having to interfere. After 32 played minutes Donald got a freekick which was hit by Brendon Renny. An unexpectedly hard shot by Everitt Mckinley in the 35th minute of play forced Stanley's goalkeeper Richard Durbin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Everitt Mckinley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 38 minutes into the game, Donald's Payne Sibbold nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Richard Durbin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After having played for 42 minutes, Payne Sibbold managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Donald's supporters crossed their fingers, but Payne Sibbold was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bath Colman was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Stanley's Richard Durbin got control of the ball when Everitt Mckinley tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Payne Sibbold in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Richard Durbin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Payne Sibbold had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Everitt Mckinley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Richard Durbin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 72 in the game by Everitt Mckinley from a close distance when the talented Richard Durbin managed to make a qualified save. Stanley's players were relieved. A collision led to Stanley getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Ronald Howarth hit a great ball. Everitt Mckinley struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Richard Durbin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Donald. When Donald's Payne Sibbold in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Stanley's goalie prevented a goal. 91 minutes in the game, Everitt Mckinley fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Richard Durbin having to interfere. In the 94th minute Brooks Cawthorne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rich Bunworth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stanley succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Donald had controlled the match.
