If Ringo Heys had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 7th minute, Clark Mueller hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Malcolm Reynolds took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 9th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Berke Hess. Collinsville's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ringo Heys could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Arneil Beer made a huge save. In the 16th minute, Quincy Brading left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mungery fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Quincy Brading received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Berke Hess tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ringo Stafford hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Quincy Brading sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ringo Stafford kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Collinsville's Berke Hess played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quincy Brading in the 28th minute of play. After 29 minutes, Dugald Warren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Collinsville and the Mungery players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 35th minute Matthew Sperling shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arneil Beer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Collinsville's Berke Hess played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quincy Brading in the 41st minute of play. After some careless play in the Collinsville defense, Quincy Brading kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Berke Hess. The Collinsville fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Berke Hess should have stopped the shot. In the 46th minute Quincy Brading shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berke Hess saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kent Hicks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Ringo Heys in the 51st minute of play forced Mungery's goalkeeper Arneil Beer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 53 minutes into the match, Collinsville's goal looked a bit too open when Quincy Brading came free, but Berke Hess reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute, Cornelius Pound got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Matthew Sperling sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th minute Matthew Sperling shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arneil Beer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arneil Beer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matthew Sperling, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. With an all-out effort, Mungery's Berke Hess threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Quincy Brading, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 71st minute Quincy Brading shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berke Hess saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Quincy Brading's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Berke Hess read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Collinsville's Berke Hess played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quincy Brading in the 76th minute of play.
