After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, Jackson Andrusiow managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wamberal's supporters rose to their feet, but Jackson Andrusiow was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bradshaw Hunter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Meyer Cubitt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ringo Rhoades having to interfere. Ringo Rhoades made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Meyer Cubitt in the 19th minute of play. 21 minutes in the game, Jason Fasey fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ringo Rhoades having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Wamberal's zone, Meyer Cubitt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ringo Rhoades came out of the goal and Meyer Cubitt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jason Fasey's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 27thth minute, Ringo Rhoades skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Wamberal's Broderick Newton got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jason Fasey could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Ringo Rhoades made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jackson Andrusiow in the 33rd minute of play forced Maya's goalkeeper Bradshaw Hunter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bradshaw Hunter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jackson Andrusiow, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jackson Andrusiow in the 39th minute of play forced Maya's goalkeeper Bradshaw Hunter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute, Berne Hilton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Meyer Cubitt was extremely unlucky when he, in the 42nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 55th match minute, Wamberal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Corey Hitchen to maneuver through the defense. After 58 minutes, Berne Hilton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wamberal and the Maya players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ringo Rhoades took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Meyer Cubitt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maya's Bradshaw Hunter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Broderick Newton in the 67th minute of play. Jackson Andrusiow kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 72ndth minute. Though ot was a great shot Maya's keeper Bradshaw Hunter was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Wamberal's Ringo Rhoades played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Meyer Cubitt in the 75th minute of play. The supporters of Maya booed when Wamberal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arneil Stageman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ringo Rhoades made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Meyer Cubitt in the 86th minute of play. After having played for 89 minutes, Meyer Cubitt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maya's supporters crossed their fingers, but Meyer Cubitt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 92nd minute Jason Fasey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ringo Rhoades saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Jason Fasey came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Maya fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jason Fasey couldn't finish the play. Jason Fasey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Ringo Rhoades tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 98 minutes into the match, Wamberal's goal looked a bit too open when Meyer Cubitt came free, but Ringo Rhoades reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Wamberal supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Wamberal would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
