Michael Soekirno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Bran Spurr tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Wellard's Bremen Auger got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Damon Gronow's late challenge caught a Wellard's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The audience was convinced that Bremen Auger's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Doyle Newton was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. After having played for 62 minutes, Justin Mills managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wellard's supporters crossed their fingers, but Justin Mills was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bran Spurr showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Larry Crampton in the 64th minute of the match.
