Brett Wright received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rex Fieldhouse came out and tried to block the shot, but Brett Wright slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 26th minute. Richard Connolly showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barnett Baxter in the 34th minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, Murmungee's goalkeeper Rex Fieldhouse had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brett Wright. Landervale's Sam Quinnell got his second yellow card of the match in the 38th minute. The referee ordered Sam Quinnell off the ground. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Barnett Baxter to make the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Murmungee was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barnett Baxter to maneuver through the defense. Murmungee's Barnett Baxter got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute, Arneil Carlisle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brown Soekirno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rex Fieldhouse read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brown Soekirno in the 90th minute of play forced Murmungee's goalkeeper Rex Fieldhouse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brett Wright blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rex Fieldhouse having to make a save.
