In the 18th minute Bran Beverley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darren Moorby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alvin Dalglish hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. The supporters of Bargies FC booed when Antwerp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Archie Hollis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Keith Deeth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Mccarthy having to interfere. When Benson Bromfield came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Bargies FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benson Bromfield couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Calvin Dowsing during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Keith Deeth stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 61 minutes, Bran Beverley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Antwerp's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bran Beverley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
