Boyce Ambrose was extremely unlucky when he, in the 2nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When Boyce Ambrose, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 4 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Edmundson Shorten was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Bruno Hemsley could shoot a difficult shot in the 6th minute, which Edmundson Shorten however easily saved by the left post. Earle Lingwoodock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Earle Lingwoodock came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Lawlers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Earle Lingwoodock couldn't finish the play. Earle Lingwoodock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jayden Clinton having to interfere. 16 minutes into the game, Russel Peach was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gunyah's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lawlers the free kick. After a rather tough play, Gunyah's Russel Peach got a free kick in the 16th minute. Jayden Clinton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Earle Lingwoodock in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Gunyah's Bruno Hemsley dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bruno Hemsley got free with Edmundson Shorten in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Earle Lingwoodock blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jayden Clinton having to make a save. Jayden Clinton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dugald Kuch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dugald Kuch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 39 minutes in the game, Boyce Ambrose fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Edmundson Shorten having to interfere. Bruno Hemsley received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Edmundson Shorten came out and tried to block the shot, but Bruno Hemsley slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 43rd minute. Bruno Hemsley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Edmundson Shorten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Boyce Ambrose was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Lawlers's zone, Boyce Ambrose stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edmundson Shorten came out of the goal and Boyce Ambrose tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Earle Lingwoodock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dugald Kuch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jayden Clinton having to interfere. If Earle Lingwoodock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gunyah's Jayden Clinton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Earle Lingwoodock in the 81st minute of play. In the 86th minute, Earle Lingwoodock fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 92nd minute, Bruno Hemsley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 95th minute, Bruno Hemsley made a precise shot to the right of Edmundson Shorten. Lawlers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0.
