In the 9th minute Bray Macumber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ben Travers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Berny Tinsley got free with Ernest Forrest in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Barry Hardiman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Dunedoo's Barry Hardiman slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ben Travers. That made the score 0-4 after 92 minutes of play. Dunedoo's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
