PEPE United's Filomeno Jerico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paul Dowling in the 3rd minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, Paul Dowling notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of PEPE United's Filomeno Jerico. Filomeno Jerico was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Paul Dowling's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Filomeno Jerico was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. A hard shot 18 in the game by Alford Yard from a close distance when the talented Russ Macumber managed to make a qualified save. Millfield's players were relieved. Filomeno Jerico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Corey Wilde, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Corey Wilde in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filomeno Jerico prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alford Yard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Russ Macumber made a huge save. Filomeno Jerico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paul Dowling in the 25th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Alford Yard kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Russ Macumber. That made the score 1-1 in the 29 minute of play. In the 36thth minute of the game Paul Dowling who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PEPE United's Filomeno Jerico was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 37th minute, Brent Macinnes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alford Yard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Russ Macumber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Corey Wilde in the 43rd minute of play forced PEPE United's goalkeeper Filomeno Jerico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Corey Wilde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Alford Yard made the kick off in the second half. Millfield's Russ Macumber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alford Yard in the 65th minute of play. If Paul Dowling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 68th minute, Paul Dowling got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paul Dowling got free with Filomeno Jerico in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Phillip Dorrell hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 74th minute, Alford Yard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paul Dowling could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Filomeno Jerico made a huge save. Corey Wilde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filomeno Jerico having to interfere. In the 80th minute Alford Yard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Russ Macumber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Alford Yard managed to get in a good position for a shot. PEPE United's supporters rose to their feet, but Alford Yard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Russ Macumber breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Filomeno Jerico made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paul Dowling in the 86th minute. Paul Dowling fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filomeno Jerico having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Millfield's goal looked a bit too open when Alford Yard came free, but Russ Macumber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Phillip Dorrell hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match.
