In the 6th minute, Corey Wilde fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Randell Warhurst, passed just outside the right post. Norm Rennie charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Norm Rennie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 10th minute, Norm Rennie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arne Millard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Randell Warhurst made a huge save. Brent Macinnes's late challenge caught a Hernani Sydney's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brent Macinnes helped the player get up and apologised. Russ Macumber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darren Limmer in the 18th minute of the match. Millfield's Russ Macumber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sam Maybury in the 21st minute of play. Arne Millard kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Hernani Sydney's Todd Crampton managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Lawrence Meyers in the 23 minute of the game. The audience was convinced that Sam Maybury's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Russ Macumber was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. After having played for 28 minutes, Braedan Powley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hernani Sydney's supporters crossed their fingers, but Braedan Powley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Millfield's Paul Dowling was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 32nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 34th minute, Paul Dowling made a precise shot to the right of Randell Warhurst. Hernani Sydney's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Randell Warhurst made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Corey Wilde in the 39th minute of play. Paul Dowling could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Randell Warhurst made a huge save. A collision led to Millfield getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Arne Millard hit a great ball. In the 47th minute Corey Wilde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Randell Warhurst saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Darren Limmer to strike the kick off in the second half. Paul Dowling recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Russ Macumber, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Russ Macumber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caine Mcinnes in the 67th minute of the match. Randell Warhurst came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Millfield's Paul Dowling. But to his dismay, Paul Dowling quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Hernani Sydney's Randell Warhurst played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Corey Wilde in the 88th minute of play. 92 minutes into the game, Arne Millard cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-1. Randell Warhurst was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
