The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Elderslie Magpies booed when Mount Pleasant FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ollie Norwood didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Mount Pleasant FC's Aden Couzens threw himself towards the right post 6 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ollie Norwood, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neal Weatherby in the 7th minute of play forced Mount Pleasant FC's goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute Mount Pleasant FC were awarded a corner. Dale Clack went to the cornerflag to take it. 16 minutes into the game, one of Mount Pleasant FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Dallas Kuch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aden Couzens having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Mount Pleasant FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ovidio Etxekopar came free, but Aaron Ramsdal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aden Couzens was out of position in the 24 minute of play, and Dallas Kuch capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dallas Kuch really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Aaron Ramsdal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steven Chaptal, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Rick Souness sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 37 minutes into the match, Mount Pleasant FC's Dallas Kuch sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aden Couzens narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mount Pleasant FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dale Clack in the 38th minute. If Dallas Kuch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Steven Chaptal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Aaron Ramsdal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Elderslie Magpies's Ovidio Etxekopar got a free kick in the 43rd minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Steven Chaptal to strike the kick off in the second half. Aden Couzens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dallas Kuch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aden Couzens stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dallas Kuch's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. After 64 minutes, Dallas Kuch made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Elderslie Magpies's Aden Couzens tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Aden Couzens came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Mount Pleasant FC's Dallas Kuch. But to his dismay, Dallas Kuch quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Mount Pleasant FC's Aaron Ramsdal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Mount Pleasant FC from getting a goal against them. Dallas Kuch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Aden Couzens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mount Pleasant FC's Dale Clack got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dallas Kuch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aaron Ramsdal had great luck who in the 83rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Neal Weatherby from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Steven Chaptal's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 84thth minute, Aaron Ramsdal skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Aden Couzens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dallas Kuch in the 86th minute of play. Mount Pleasant FC were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after Elderslie Magpies's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dale Clack took the corner. The corner ended in Dale Clack almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Elderslie Magpies's Aden Couzens did a great save. Elderslie Magpies's Aden Couzens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dallas Kuch in the 91st minute of play. In the 91st match minute, Mount Pleasant FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benney Howie to maneuver through the defense. Boris Pegrum kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match.
