In the 40th minute, Wim Wilmes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Long Sen Jing was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 43 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Cahya Pandiangan came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gijsbert ter Kruimer to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cahya Pandiangan in the 53rd minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cahya Pandiangan in the 55th minute of the match. Long Sen Jing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 63rd minute of play. Long Sen Jing showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 74th minute, Wim Wilmes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Long Sen Jing. The goal made the score 0-3. La Tribuna Tambien Juega made a substitution. Åke Kock replaced Atala Bačo. The crowd rose to their feet as Netherlands's Wim Wilmes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Long Sen Jing. That made the score 0-4 after 78 minutes of play. In the 84th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Long Sen Jing. The goal made the score 0-5. In the 90th minute, Cahya Pandiangan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cahya Pandiangan in the 96th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Netherlands's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
