An unexpectedly hard shot by Kyle Cox in the 6th minute of play forced Milfontes United's goalkeeper Romeu De Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romeu De Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kyle Cox, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Kyle Cox sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 11 played minutes England got a freekick which was hit by Cooper Thompson. Romeu De Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Micah Macdonald in the 16th minute of the match. In the 18thth minute of the game Kyle Cox who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Milfontes United's Romeu De Sousa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Christopher Radtke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Khalid Kennedy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, England's Leighton Davies got a free kick in the 24th minute. Sérgio Palhares struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Khalid Kennedy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Milfontes United. Leighton Davies got a throw-in 35 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Micah Macdonald. Jorge Macedo might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Khalid Kennedy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jorge Macedo ran back to his position shaking his head. Christopher Radtke succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 41st playminute. With an all-out effort, Milfontes United's Khalid Kennedy threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Raul Viana, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Sérgio Palhares made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, England's Kyle Cox sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Romeu De Sousa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 55th minute, Kyle Cox fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Romeu De Sousa, passed just outside the right post. Khalid Kennedy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raul Viana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Milfontes United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sílvio Guerra in the 60th minute. The corner led Milfontes United's Sílvio Guerra to fire away a dangerous shot which Khalid Kennedy despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Issac Dawson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Romeu De Sousa. That made the score 1-1 in the 67 minute of play. Luís Travassos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 79 minutes Milfontes United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Micah Macdonald who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Micah Macdonald almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Milfontes United's Romeu De Sousa did a great save. When Gregório Baptista fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Milfontes United's protests and gave Gregório Baptista a yellow card for diving instead. Gregório Baptista hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Romeu De Sousa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kyle Cox's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. If Jorge Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 95th minute, England's Kyle Cox dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. England's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
