The audience thought a goal was coming when Olov Hermansson got free with Wilson Amorim in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. SoS FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Christer Bratt in the 6th minute. After taking down the ball on SoS FC's corner Christer Bratt fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Wilson Amorim quite easily take care of the ball. Wilson Amorim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedrão de Amorim went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 10 minutes into the game, Felipe Barreto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Karl-Erik Larsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Felipe Barreto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Karl-Erik Larsson having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedrão de Amorim in the 15th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Pedrão de Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 20thth minute of the game Felipe Barreto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SoS FC's Karl-Erik Larsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pedrão de Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedrão de Amorim in the 21st minute of the match. Karl-Erik Larsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viriato Moura in the 23rd minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Pedrão de Amorim notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Portugal's Wilson Amorim. The SoS FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. After 42 played minutes SoS FC got a freekick which was hit by Eduard Gâgea. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Pimentel in the 45th minute of play forced SoS FC's goalkeeper Karl-Erik Larsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Pimentel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Karl-Erik Larsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Karl-Erik Larsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viriato Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SoS FC's Pedrão de Amorim got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-2 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedrão de Amorim was the one to do the kick off. In the 60th minute, Pedrão de Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SoS FC made a substitution. Bernt Lundqvist replaced Melker Forss. In the 62nd minute of the game Fabricio Andrade made a throw-in which Daniel Pimentel played forward. After a rather tough play, Portugal's Fabricio Andrade got a free kick in the 63rd minute. A collision led to Portugal getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Fabricio Andrade hit a great ball. 66 minutes into the match, SoS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Moura came free, but Karl-Erik Larsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedrão de Amorim scored 5-2 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilson Amorim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. SoS FC made a substitution. Marek Jaraczewski replaced Guaberto Tudela. Portugal made a substitution. Bartolomeu Dias replaced Viriato Moura. SoS FC's Tommy Boylin was substituted for Pedrão de Amorim. In the 73rd match minute, Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Bastos to maneuver through the defense. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tommy Boylin, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After 77 minutes Portugal's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Christer Bratt who took care of the corner kick. A well done corner resulted in Stig Beckman drilling the ball in to score 6-2 behind Portugal's goalkeeper. After some careless play in the Portugal defense, Tommy Boylin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. 85 minutes in the game Fabricio Andrade did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Bruno Bastos. With an all-out effort, Portugal's Karl-Erik Larsson threw himself towards the right post 87 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bartolomeu Dias, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Olov Hermansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Wilson Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stig Beckman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilson Amorim having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SoS FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Portugal had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
