With a left leg Casper Claes saved Belgium from getting behind. 12 minutes into the match, ÓKINJÔ FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Vanderstraeten came free, but Frits Sap reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the last second Casper Claes throw himself and got hold of the ball when Alexandrino Sesimbra in the 16thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 18 minutes into the match, ÓKINJÔ FC's goal looked a bit too open when Yves Dervaux came free, but Frits Sap reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 27 minutes, Naim Ünal made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Belgium's Casper Claes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to ÓKINJÔ FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Tarmo Koskenkorva hit a great ball. Frits Sap made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35th minute, Alexandrino Sesimbra fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Casper Claes, passed just outside the right post. In the 38th minute Belgium were awarded a corner. Edward Vanderstraeten went to the cornerflag to take it. 44 minutes into the match, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Frits Sap narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Naim Ünal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Casper Claes made a huge save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edward Vanderstraeten to strike the kick off in the second half. After 72 played minutes ÓKINJÔ FC got a freekick which was hit by Trond Hagen. 74 minutes into the match, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Frits Sap narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandrino Sesimbra in the 76th minute of play. After a rather tough play, ÓKINJÔ FC's Amável Baldaia got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wu Ping Zhen in the 94th minute of the match. Belgium's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
