After 2 played minutes Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Mikkel Wulff. Konrad Dunajski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bertram Svenningsen took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Miroslaw Gejda. Miroslaw Gejda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 9 minutes into the match, Legia Warszawa 【L】's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Nygaard came free, but Miroslaw Gejda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Theis Winther in the 11th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Legia Warszawa 【L】's Zygmunt Kluczyk. Konrad Dunajski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Keld Paulsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With 14 minutes on the clock, Florian Pryputnicki commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 15th match minute, Legia Warszawa 【L】 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florian Pryputnicki to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute Chris Nygaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miroslaw Gejda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miroslaw Gejda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Nygaard in the 18th minute of the match. In the 21st minute of the game Kenn Skou made a throw-in which Bertram Svenningsen played forward. 22 minutes into the match, Chris Nygaard had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Miroslaw Gejda. Legia Warszawa 【L】's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Chris Nygaard was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 30 minutes into the game, Lars Steen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Miroslaw Gejda was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Chris Nygaard sped through Legia Warszawa 【L】's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Miroslaw Gejda. Miroslaw Gejda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chris Nygaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After a rather tough play, Legia Warszawa 【L】's Iwo Solibieda got a free kick in the 38th minute. Legia Warszawa 【L】's Miroslaw Gejda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bertram Svenningsen in the 39th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Legia Warszawa 【L】's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Nygaard came free, but Miroslaw Gejda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bertram Svenningsen scored 0-5 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Miroslaw Gejda, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

Miroslaw Gejda didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 54th minute, which inside left pole to 0-6. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Miroslaw Gejda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 63 minutes, Hugon Prusek mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Legia Warszawa 【L】 and the Denmark players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 64th minute, Hugon Prusek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miroslaw Gejda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chris Nygaard in the 65th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Bertram Svenningsen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Miroslaw Gejda. That made the score 0-10 in the 87 minute of play. A throw-in in the 90th minute of the game was made by Theis Winther with Lars Steen as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Miroslaw Gejda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chris Nygaard's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Miroslaw Gejda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Nygaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miroslaw Gejda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bertram Svenningsen in the 94th minute of play. Denmark's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
