Chris Mergenthaler hit a great ball. Ulrich Stein kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th minute, Dênis Félix got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dênis Félix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albin Holweck's late challenge caught a São Paulo da Floresta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albin Holweck helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of São Paulo da Floresta booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albin Holweck didn't get a good kick on the ball. São Paulo da Floresta's Jean Fernandez got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Reynaldo Maia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Sachs in the 48th minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

A nice corner shot did that Ulrich Stein got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Reynaldo Maia quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Frank Sachs came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Germany fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Sachs couldn't finish the play. Mirolyub Razlozhki hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Frank Sachs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 78 minutes, Alfredo Vasconcelos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the São Paulo da Floresta and the Germany players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 78 played minutes São Paulo da Floresta got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Vasconcelos. In the 79th minute, João Pedro Campidelis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
