After some careless play in the Lyna Lidzbark Warminski defense, Wim Wilmes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jan Budzyn. The Lyna Lidzbark Warminski fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan Budzyn should have stopped the shot. 23 minutes into the match, Lyna Lidzbark Warminski's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Jan Budzyn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan Budzyn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Gustaaf Groeneveldt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Lyna Lidzbark Warminski's Borys Domalik got a free kick in the 45th minute. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Lyna Lidzbark Warminski was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zygmunt Waselewicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Lyna Lidzbark Warminski players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Netherlands were winning 0-2.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 65th minute of play forced Lyna Lidzbark Warminski's goalkeeper Jan Budzyn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Lyna Lidzbark Warminski's Zygmunt Waselewicz got a free kick in the 70th minute. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Szymon Sobczak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 77 minutes into the match, Lyna Lidzbark Warminski's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Meesters came free, but Jan Budzyn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Egbert Nijveldt kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. When Miroslaw Wielopolski came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Lyna Lidzbark Warminski fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miroslaw Wielopolski couldn't finish the play. Netherlands's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
