Uğuralp Vasfi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Meesters in the 21st minute of play. Wim Wilmes took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Uğuralp Vasfi. Uğuralp Vasfi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 29th minute of play forced KOO Tigers's goalkeeper Uğuralp Vasfi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 35th minute of play forced KOO Tigers's goalkeeper Uğuralp Vasfi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Namık Kemal Eker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Reekers having to interfere. Uğuralp Vasfi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Mathijn Doctor hit a great ball. After the first half Netherlands were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Robert Collen made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 53rd minute of play forced KOO Tigers's goalkeeper Uğuralp Vasfi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Uğuralp Vasfi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 57th minute. In the 60th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gijsbert ter Kruimer to maneuver through the defense. KOO Tigers's Xiao Yu Chao was substituted for Namık Kemal Eker. The supporters of KOO Tigers booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gijsbert ter Kruimer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lars Meesters sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. KOO Tigers made a substitution. Kudret Şükrü replaced Emin Bayram. KOO Tigers's Selçuk Talayman was substituted for Mickey Rothwell. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Uğuralp Vasfi in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. KOO Tigers's Uğuralp Vasfi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 73rd minute of play. In the 78th minute of the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Uğuralp Vasfi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 80th minute of play forced KOO Tigers's goalkeeper Uğuralp Vasfi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Egbert Nijveldt hit a great ball. After 83 played minutes, KOO Tigers's Marquinhos Filho shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Arnout Reekers came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in KOO Tigers reached it. Uğuralp Vasfi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Lars Meesters got a free kick in the 91st minute. In the 96th minute of the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Uğuralp Vasfi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the match was over Netherlands could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than KOO Tigers throughout the match.
