The supporters of Freestylers booed when Italy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zena Busacca didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mattias Svan in the 20th minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Italy's Sostene Vitulli got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute of the match Guido Eumann sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Flavio Vittori skillfully saved the ball. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Freestylers's goalkeeper Philipp Schulz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Philipp Schulz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Porziano Marchitelli in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 35th minute Mattias Svan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mattias Svan in the 37th minute of play. Flavio Vittori made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mattias Svan in the 43rd minute. 44 minutes into the game, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Freestylers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leo Pietro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Flavio Vittori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leo Pietro in the 71st minute of play. 72 minutes into the game, Zaccheo Andolina cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Philipp Schulz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Freestylers's Cesar Nafarroa was substituted for Guido Eumann. Freestylers's Philipp Schulz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Freestylers from getting a goal against them. Zaccheo Andolina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Philipp Schulz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. In the 89th minute Björn Lachenicht shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
