In the 24th minute Pong Kula shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferdinand Joldea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abelardo Zubizarreta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Róbert Pál-Szabó, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Atlético Letal's Abelardo Zubizarreta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Róbert Pál-Szabó in the 26th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cosmin Iureș in the 27th minute of play forced Atlético Letal's goalkeeper Abelardo Zubizarreta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Champions Iasi's Cosmin Iureș in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Atlético Letal's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Atlético Letal getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Dursun Ali Mehmet hit a great ball. Champions Iasi's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Pong Kula scored to the left of an out of position Ferdinand Joldea, making the score, 1-2. Atlético Letal's Abelardo Zubizarreta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasile Mumuleanu in the 33rd minute of play. Abelardo Zubizarreta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vasile Mumuleanu in the 37th minute of the match. Pong Kula sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pong Kula could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Ferdinand Joldea made a huge save. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Champions Iasi's goalkeeper Ferdinand Joldea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Champions Iasi defense, Pong Kula kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ferdinand Joldea. The Champions Iasi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ferdinand Joldea should have stopped the shot. Pong Kula's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ferdinand Joldea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Atlético Letal made a substitution. Pedro Silveira replaced Dráusio de Queirós. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomás Goren to make the kick off. Abelardo Zubizarreta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Róbert Pál-Szabó in the 57th minute of the match. In the 60th minute of the match, Vasile Mumuleanu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Abelardo Zubizarreta saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 63rd minute, Tomás Goren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Atlético Letal's Abelardo Zubizarreta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Letal from getting a goal against them. In the 71st minute, Iustin Coporan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Abelardo Zubizarreta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vasile Mumuleanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Róbert Pál-Szabó received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Abelardo Zubizarreta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The player immediately received a yellow card. Abelardo Zubizarreta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vasile Mumuleanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Champions Iasi's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
