Mazinho de Alcântara was slow to take the kick. During this time Real Soccer FC's players had a chance to rest. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 8th minute of the game. One of Elizabeth Three Lions FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Real Soccer FC:s goal. Szczepan Podolski's late challenge caught a Elizabeth Three Lions FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Szczepan Podolski helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Real Soccer FC's Szczepan Podolski got a free kick in the 11th minute. When Richard Butler fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Elizabeth Three Lions FC's protests and gave Richard Butler a yellow card for diving instead. After 26 minutes Elizabeth Three Lions FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mazinho de Alcântara who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Alessandro Pena heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After some careless play in the Elizabeth Three Lions FC defense, Tore-Andre Flø kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jesus Satordi. The Elizabeth Three Lions FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jesus Satordi should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Elizabeth Three Lions FC's zone, Tore-Andre Flø stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jesus Satordi came out of the goal and Tore-Andre Flø tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Richard Scholten came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Elizabeth Three Lions FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Richard Scholten couldn't finish the play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Richard Scholten to make the kick off. When Szczepan Podolski was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 55 minutes had been played. In the 56th minute, Szczepan Podolski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 57 minutes in the game, Ed Moore fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Renato Braga having to interfere. After having played for 69 minutes, Cvetin Luković managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Elizabeth Three Lions FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cvetin Luković was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Renato Braga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richard Scholten, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Tore-Andre Flø struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Jesus Satordi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Soccer FC. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diego Ferran during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Elizabeth Three Lions FC booed when Real Soccer FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Ferran didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 86 played minutes Real Soccer FC got a freekick which was hit by Diego Ferran. Renato Braga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrew Johnson, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. 92 minutes into the game, Stergios Britzolidis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Soccer FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Elizabeth Three Lions FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Real Soccer FC's Stergios Britzolidis got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Real Soccer FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Elizabeth Three Lions FC for much of the match.
