When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Chris Nygaard put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Vlaho Modrah. In the 34thth minute of the game Chris Nygaard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kanarinci's Vlaho Modrah was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Kanarinci's Bruno Dragišić got a free kick in the 34th minute. If Mikkel Wulff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Bertram Svenningsen hit a great ball. When Chris Nygaard fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Denmark's protests and gave Chris Nygaard a yellow card for diving instead. After 40 played minutes Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Chris Nygaard. Vlaho Modrah made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Nygaard in the 42nd minute of play. Kanarinci's Vlaho Modrah played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Nygaard in the 45th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chris Nygaard in the 46th minute of play forced Kanarinci's goalkeeper Vlaho Modrah to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vlaho Modrah made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Nygaard in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Chris Nygaard made the kick off in the second half. If Dragutin Vasiljević had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Keld Paulsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dragutin Vasiljević in the 53rd minute of the match. Dragutin Vasiljević took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Keld Paulsen. Keld Paulsen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. When Bjarne Kirkegaard fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Denmark's protests and gave Bjarne Kirkegaard a yellow card for diving instead. After 57 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Denmark! Kanarinci's Vlaho Modrah played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Nygaard in the 60th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chris Nygaard in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vlaho Modrah saved Kanarinci from getting behind. Lars Steen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bertram Svenningsen got free with Vlaho Modrah in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Kanarinci's Radoslav Ivanković got a free kick in the 78th minute. Radoslav Ivanković hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Radoslav Ivanković fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keld Paulsen having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
