Rafael van der Vaart could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Keld Paulsen made a huge save. Through an outstanding action, after 7 minutes, Keld Paulsen successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 8 minutes had been played when some careless play by Denmark's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tom Rheistein was slow to take the kick. During this time Glasston's players had a chance to rest. Rafael van der Vaart's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Keld Paulsen firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 16th minute Thomas Grandison shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Glasston's Gregg Didlick was substituted for Thomas Grandison. Lars Steen hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. 19 minutes in the game, Jagger Trevena fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Keld Paulsen having to interfere. 21 minutes in the game Gregg Didlick did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Mete Golob. Bengt-Rune Rolfsson struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Keld Paulsen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Glasston. Theis Winther kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 30th match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Theis Winther to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Glasston's Tom Rheistein tried to score from far away in the 31st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Keld Paulsen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mete Golob in the 34th minute. Carlton Convine showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bertram Svenningsen in the 36th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the game, Jim Schmeltzer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Glasston's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Denmark the free kick. In the 43rd minute of the game Gregg Didlick made a throw-in which Rafael van der Vaart played forward. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rafael van der Vaart stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mete Golob in the 57th minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Rafael van der Vaart's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Keld Paulsen was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. The supporters of Denmark booed when Glasston was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aron Warren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Keld Paulsen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rafael van der Vaart's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Glasston's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tom Rheistein in the 68th minute. A nice corner shot did that Tom Rheistein got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Keld Paulsen quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a defensive mix-up in Denmark's zone, Rafael van der Vaart stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Keld Paulsen came out of the goal and Rafael van der Vaart tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Glasston booed when Denmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Theis Winther didn't get a good kick on the ball. Olav Graversen hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. The supporters of Glasston booed when Denmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael van der Vaart scored 2-0 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Keld Paulsen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 87 minutes, Jagger Trevena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Glasston's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jagger Trevena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlton Convine acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 89th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Simon Bendtsen. Theis Winther hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Glasston had won after a very even match.
