Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Joop Mesmaeckers kicked off to start the match. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christiaan Elsen in the 5th minute. Christiaan Elsen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. Eser Şemsi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars Meesters, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 13th minute. The corner led Netherlands's Wim Wilmes to fire away a dangerous shot which Eser Şemsi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Wim Wilmes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 21st minute, Christiaan Elsen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Michael Cuelens might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arnout Reekers. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Michael Cuelens ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 29th minute All Stars Gent were awarded a corner. Christiaan Elsen went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Christiaan Elsen got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Arnout Reekers quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Eser Şemsi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 37th minute of play forced All Stars Gent's goalkeeper Eser Şemsi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st match minute, All Stars Gent was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esterilla Van Meenen to maneuver through the defense. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Cuelens in the 44th minute of play. A collision led to All Stars Gent getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Esterilla Van Meenen hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The wind increased when Gijsbert ter Kruimer made the kick off in the second half. Eser Şemsi was out of position in the 51 minute of play, and Gijsbert ter Kruimer capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gijsbert ter Kruimer really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michael Cuelens in the 56th minute of play. In the 57th minute of the match All Stars Gent got a corner. Netherlands's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Christiaan Elsen ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Esterilla Van Meenen managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Christiaan Elsen struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Arnout Reekers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for All Stars Gent. Michael Cuelens took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joop Mesmaeckers in the 68th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69th minute, Gustave Van Looy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the All Stars Gent defense, Wim Wilmes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eser Şemsi. The All Stars Gent fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eser Şemsi should have stopped the shot. In the 79th minute Christiaan Elsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Netherlands's zone, Christiaan Elsen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal and Christiaan Elsen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joop Mesmaeckers in the 83rd minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Netherlands walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
