After a defensive mix-up in Independente F.C. Limeira's zone, Kyle Cox stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robbie Southgate came out of the goal and Kyle Cox tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kyle Cox in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robbie Southgate saved Independente F.C. Limeira from getting behind. Aírton Tepedino kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 13th minute, Independente F.C. Limeira's Mito Kannemann seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Mito Kannemann the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Independente F.C. Limeira protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Mito Kannemann had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Robbie Southgate took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kyle Cox, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kyle Cox recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 25th minute Micah Macdonald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robbie Southgate saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dorian Linhares got free with Khalid Kennedy in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
