In the 8th minute, Antal Valentin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Pajala Sunrise's Kent Odén got a free kick in the 9th minute. 10 minutes into the game, Hungary's Antal Valentin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Daniel Hök made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Daniel Hök showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. A collision led to Hungary getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Szekeres Tamas hit a great ball. Gýmir Gryc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fodor Daniel having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Major Barna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gýmir Gryc's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fodor Daniel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th match minute, Hungary was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Szekeres Tamas to maneuver through the defense. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yngve Sandström in the 29th minute of play. After 33 minutes Pajala Sunrise's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antal Valentin who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Hungary's Major Barna to fire away a dangerous shot which Daniel Hök despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 35th minute Gýmir Gryc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute Balazs Lajos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Hök saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 43 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Hungary! Hungary:s Fodor Daniel showed great skill when he stopped Yngve Sandström:s penalty. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yngve Sandström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 56th match minute, Hungary was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Szekeres Tamas to maneuver through the defense. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gýmir Gryc in the 57th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Yngve Sandström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pajala Sunrise's supporters rose to their feet, but Yngve Sandström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fodor Daniel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Antal Valentin in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Daniel Hök, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 70th minute Yngve Sandström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Pajala Sunrise's Daniel Hök got control of the ball when Antal Valentin tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Hungary booed when Pajala Sunrise was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kent Odén didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was a well-played corner which Stig Larsson managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Arne Tingelholm's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fodor Daniel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play.
