VN Ultra Spartak's Igor Szpakowski quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Faustino Almeida, made in the 11th minute of the game. After 12 played minutes Portugal got a freekick which was hit by Faustino Almeida. In the 13th minute, Portugal's Raul Caetano seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Raul Caetano the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Portugal protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Raul Caetano had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wilson Amorim was a little too slow when Cristiano Lewandowski got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 2-0. After 38 played minutes VN Ultra Spartak got a freekick which was hit by Georgi Vangelov. Cristiano Lewandowski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilson Amorim having to make a save. 43 minutes into the game, Portugal's Felipe Barreto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Albérico Bernardes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felipe Barreto in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Albérico Bernardes saved VN Ultra Spartak from getting behind. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristiano Lewandowski was the one to do the kick off. If Cristiano Lewandowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Felipe Barreto came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Portugal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipe Barreto couldn't finish the play. In the 57th match minute, Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabricio Andrade to maneuver through the defense. VN Ultra Spartak's Albérico Bernardes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save VN Ultra Spartak from getting a goal against them. 76 minutes into the match, VN Ultra Spartak's goalkeeper Albérico Bernardes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felipinho Amorim. Caetano Moreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albérico Bernardes having to interfere. In the 80th match minute, Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caetano Moreira to maneuver through the defense. Portugal's Felipinho Amorim got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 86th minute, Portugal's Felipinho Amorim ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Albérico Bernardes. Albérico Bernardes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Faustino Almeida's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Albérico Bernardes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. After 90 played minutes VN Ultra Spartak got a freekick which was hit by 이 석. 93 minutes into the match, Felipinho Amorim had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Albérico Bernardes. VN Ultra Spartak's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felipinho Amorim was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3.
